Natalia Yelina
Natalia Yelina, native of the Russian Federation, has a very diverse background in art. Her talent has been evident from a very young age when, at the age of fourteen, she submitted her portfolio to The Rostov Grekov’s Art College and nobody could believe it was her own work and not that of a more mature artist. She soon proved her critics wrong and was accepted to this famous college.
From 1981 until 1991 Natalia worked as a designer in a scientific institute in Taganrog, with responsibility for everything art related including decoration and interior design. Due to the fall of the USSR, Natalia’s career took a different path and for the next 15 years her experiences included painting Russian traditional miniatures and restoration work, whilst continuing to produce her own works on various different themes. The essence of Natalia’s art is to show the beauty of our world and its inhabitants. Her subject matter is very diverse; she paints whatever she finds inspiration in and always tries to turn common, simple things into something extra special. Natalia has had several exhibitions in Ireland. Her aim is to paint distinctive paintings that are as individual as a signature and easily recognizable.
