Ann Reilly

Ann is from Navan, County Meath and has been making crafts of all sorts for as long as she can remember. Ann loves the satisfaction she gets from working on a creative piece to seeing the end product, in this day where everything can be so instant.

She is a keen knitter with garments that have travelled far and near, she also crochets. Ann paints too and has experimented with oils, acrylics, watercolours and pastels. She has now started to combine all of these media into her work. Last year Ann worked on a project with the children from Educate Together National School in Navan. Using proverbs from their respective countries the children then drew their own interpretation of these proverbs and then used fabrics and fabric paints to bring these words of wisdom to life. There are currently 17 framed images hanging on the school walls.
